Full of confidence, children begin to discover their surroundings as they broaden their vocabulary. Playfulness is fundamental to ignite imagination and creativity, this knowledge guided us to create a playful environment at school which through the symbolic play they can learn to imitate real life situations and learn how to express their individuality, needs and preferences. At GreenBell, we provide the conditions for your children to learn and develop motor, social-affective and cognitive skills. The purpose of preschool education is to ensure that children live meaningful experiences that contribute to learning and to their development; that they acquire the confidence to express themselves, to dialogue, to listen and to communicate in diverse situations and to initiate the taste for the reading of diverse texts, interest in writing recognizing the graphic system as a means of creation and as an encouragement of the imagination.
"I am old enough" children at this age feel independent and free. Playing is amazing. Their thought is quick; they are protagonists of their learning; fine motor skills are developed, that is why, balancing objects, using scissors, making figures with mass and drawing is essential. Being in company is highly rewarding. At GreenBell we help strengthen their gross motor skills, as it is necessary to strengthen their body through abilities such as doing summer salts and participating in organized games. Their language development is maximized, they use their words correctly. They tell stories of fantastic characters and tell jokes. We build through play, stories, and images to awake reading and writing skills and the process of their logic/mathematical thoughts. It is the time to strengthen the foundations of habits and follow the coexistence rules outside the household.
The students in GreenBell already know how to "be the best version they can be". They reach greater cognitive and physical competence, their relationships become more complex. The sense of time and direction are developing, and they finish the projects they start. The group play is the engine of learning. Therefore, we pay special attention in this stage of their social development so they can demonstrate emotional intelligence in consequence to feelings and emotions avoiding tantrums and mixed feelings which are common at this stage. The self-motivation to learn will never stop if the conditions are optimal. In GreenBell: "children learn well, for a world of possibilities".
